Is there anyone who is generally regarded favourably by multiple schools of thought as having a well-informed, evidence-based, articulate, balanced, reasonable take on the most likely impact of #AI on society?The topic seems incredibly divisive, and I see a lot of polarisation in discussions between people who don't understand the technology and it's disruptive potential, to those who think it'll herald in #transhumanism and the dawn of a new era for humanity ... or those who think the end is nigh.I'm in the more optimistic group who think it'll be transformative and both detrimental and beneficial but leaning far more towards beneficial. I think it's going to break a lot of institutions and structures, challenge trust, change our perception of and relationship with digital information, of certainty and predictability, of control.But I'll readily admit I have no real idea, not really.
