WhatsApp is adding an @all mention to notify every member of a group chat, similar to @here and @everyone on Discord or Slack. In groups with more than 32 members, only admins can use it, while any participant can use it in smaller groups. @all alerts will still appear in muted chats, though users can disable them separately in notification settings. A new shortcut also lets users quickly create a separate group with selected members from an existing chat, without manually searching for each participant. Polls are gaining voting deadlines, anonymous responses, and a 15-minute editing window for correcting or clarifying questions after publishing.
