Geekbench 7 launches with new workloads to measure the performance of your CPUs and GPUs

Geekbench 7 has been released as the latest version of the cross-platform system benchmark, introducing a range of new and updated workloads aimed at measuring real-world device performance. The new version features updated media tasks designed to assess CPU handling of audio and video encoding, decoding, and processing, closely reflecting everyday use cases like video conferencing, screen sharing, and digital media consumption. Building on these changes, Geekbench 7 adds a Game Physics workload utilizing the Jolt Physics engine, which is employed in various popular video games. The update also expands the Photo Editor workload with more real-world editing tasks and enhances the Photo Library benchmark to support modern image formats such as JPEG XL and DNG, broadening its coverage for contemporary workflows.
