Opera One joins the vertical tabs trend in browsers

Opera One now offers an optional Vertical Tabs layout, joining a recent trend among browsers such as Chrome and Dia. The feature can be enabled through the tab context menu, Easy Setup, or browser settings. It places open tabs in a resizable panel on the left, keeping favicons and full page titles visible even when many tabs are open, unlike crowded horizontal tabs that gradually shrink. Users can collapse or resize the panel and switch to an icon only view to maximize page width. Tab Islands and pinned tabs remain supported, and their arrangement is preserved when switching between vertical and horizontal layouts. Moving the tab strip to the side also provides more vertical space for tasks such as reading articles or browsing documents. Opera One has also expanded its Google Lens integration by adding the Lens icon directly to the Start Page search field.
