Google has renamed its AI research and note-taking tool, NotebookLM, to Gemini Notebook. This updated identity marks a shift toward deeper integration across the Google ecosystem. Gemini Notebook remains a standalone product for research but now connects more closely with both the Gemini app and Google Search. Alongside the name change, Google is rolling out an update that gives each notebook a secure cloud computer. This major enhancement allows Gemini Notebook to write and execute code natively for complex data analysis rooted in the user’s source material. Currently, these features are available for Google AI Ultra users and Workspace business customers with AI Ultra Access and AI Expanded Access.
