Kimi on industrial hardware was able to complete a small but very non-trivial sys-admin task for me of checking that my Stalwart email configuration was working since migrating from plain binary to containerized version. It followed a checklist of verification and action and completed the task, including being interrupted by me to interrogate it.This is significant because even though it was a task that was very laid out, the completion was multi-step and needed multiple checks. And it worked on an Open Source model. The only thing it required was better hardware than I have locally, but that's OK. Hardware is a straightforward problem. Knowing we can move away from proprietary software to Free Software, even for just 10-20% of agentic tasks, would be a very big step in the right direction#AI #LLM #FreeSoftware
