@patrickcmiller This article has some useful recommendations and the case studies are interesting. The article is ostensibly about how to explain #AI decisions and decision-making. What the authors forgot (as most people do) is that the output of these systems is not based on rational critical-thinking. They do not “decide” — it is the humans (managers and employees) who choose to regard the AI output as a decision. That is a BIG MISTAKE. In all but the most trivial cases, the correct framing is AI augments human performance. The biosciences company seemed to have the best approach to incorporating new technology, AI or otherwise.
