One of the goals I set myself before starting this journey was to explore the relationship between people and technology. That exploration began unexpectedly with the theft of my mobile phone. Within a matter of hours, I – having been taking a critical look at my digital dependence for quite some time – was rudely awakened from the fantasy that I was reasonably well on my way to retaining my digital autonomy.
