Despite the hate and perhaps bad value, I'd still totally get the #SteamMachine if it was available officially here - or if I were to be in a place where it's available in-store for its MSRP. People complain abt its performance and pricing, which may indeed be justified and I do agree to some extent, but it's kinda ridiculous to think it's unexpected.PC part prices have literally been shit in the past ~2 years and continue to become shittier thanks to the #OpenAI/#AI bubble. The #SteamDeck was sold at a much better value bcos it was subsidised and #Valve had reason to subsidise it, they now 1) don't have the same reason to subsidise the Steam Machine - the goal is to expand #SteamOS/#Linux use among gamers and it's working, with or without selling Steam Machines to people, and 2) again, have u looked at PC part prices in the last couple of months?
