X has introduced Live Studio, a livestreaming tool for creators that replaces Media Studio Producer. Announced by X head of product Nikita Bier, the feature is part of the platform’s push to compete more directly with livestreaming services like YouTube and Twitch. Live Studio works as a new command center for streamers, with support for RTMP so creators can connect external encoders, cameras, and production software. It also lets users go live instantly, schedule streams, run private test broadcasts, manage audience and chat settings, restrict chat to subscribers, and track real-time performance with post-stream analytics. Access is handled through X’s Creator Studio, which requires a Premium subscription starting at $3 per month.
