IBM has unveiled what it calls the world's first sub-1 nanometer chip technology for AI data centres. The nanostack architecture packs nearly 100 billion transistors onto a chip the size of a human fingernail - nearly double the transistor density of the previous generation. The breakthrough promises meaningful gains in chip compute performance and energy efficiency for AI workloads. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/06/ibm-claims-worlds-first-sub-1-nanometer-chip-technology/ #AIagent #AI #GenAI #AIInfrastructure
